I suggest you fly into the Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose.  From there it is about an 80 minute drive to Jaco Beach.  We recommend going with a private shuttle to pick you up at the airport and bring you to Jaco, but you can contact us to set up arrangements.

A casual spot which is popular with surfers and offers Tex-Mex style and homemade pizzas. You can also order excellent fresh fish and a variety of perfectly prepared seafood dishes, as well as a variety of sandwiches served with homemade pita bread. The portions may require a take out box. It almost always has fresh tuna cooked your way and served with a soy-wasabi dressing. Tables are streetside on a covered veranda. Inside are more tables, as well as a bar with television sets showing videos.

This beachside restaurant has gotten too popular for its own good. There’s now a cattle-car feel to the entire operation, and the food is overpriced and quality has declined. But the setting is simply wonderful: right on the edge of the beach, with the majority of the tables outdoors. At night you sit under the stars, surrounded by tall palm trees, with some interesting lighting overhead. If you do come here, stick with the freshly caught grilled seafood or lobster, although there are plenty of meat and chicken selections on the menu as well.

Claritas is the place in Jacó, Costa Rica to eat, drink, party and play on the beach. Clarita’s world famous open-air Beach Bar provides complete sports coverage on 7 large screen satellite TVs, free wi-fi, pool table, darts and music that puts the Waco in Jaco!

The Monaco is located in the middle of downtown Jaco, one block east of the main bridge. On the corner is a large outdoor covered building with a roundabout next to it. Also ReMax is on the same corner in a small mall. You can only turn one way and the Monaco is on the right about 50 meters. Hope you have a great time with your family and friends.
